<p>PURPOSE:To measure forward slip and material lingths through operation from the values of two detectors without scoring materials by counting the pulse number according to the rotating speeds of the rolls of a load cell with the detection outputs of the two detectors provided in the forward path of the rolling material. CONSTITUTION:The rolling stress in rolls R is detected with a load cell L. First, second material detectors DT1, DT2 consisting of projectors DTa and photo detectors DTb are disposed in the positions of the distance Lsp from the center of the rolls R to the advancing direction of the material M and further LpH. A pulse generator PG which generates pulse trains according to the rotating speeds of the rolls R is disposed. First, second counters CT1, CT2 start counting the output pulses of PG respectively according to the detection outputs of DT1. And CT1 stops counting by the detection output of DT 2 and CT 2 by de-energizing of L. The outputs PA, PB of the respective counters are subjected to specified operations in first, second calculation circuits CL1, CL2, whereby forward slip (f) and material lengths l are obtained.</p> |
