Colouring preparations for beverages contain a natural, water-soluble colouring substance or colouring substance extract and a water-dispersible carotenoid preparation free from protein- containing carrier substances, so that precipitation in acidic and alcoholic drinks is avoided. Typically, the carrier is a sugar syrup which serves as a beverage base. The natural colourings may be anthocyanins, betanins, caramel or saffron. |
