The ultrasonic medical instrument has a support with a number of ultrasonic converter elements for placing on the patient's skin. This ultrasonic probe system can be readily sterilised and the converter element connections cannot be damaged. The support is a block (2) with a wedge-shaped guide seat (10). Into this seat is placed a matching wedge-shaped ultrasonic channel guide block (6) having at least one internal ultrasonic guide slot (7). The width of the guide slot is approx. equal to the housing block's slot outlet end width.
