PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a chuck by constructing it with supporting arms which are opened or closed by the turning of a cam. CONSTITUTION:Piston rod 16 is stopped at the position where the supply-receive device and the processing device face each other. When, by moving joining rods 14 in opposite directions, crank 6 is turned, and cam 7 is brought into contact with cam-follower 8. As a rsult, holding pieces 9 clamp raw material or a processed component in an elastic manner. Then, in order to the alternate operation of this holding device, piston rod 16 is moved forward temporarily, and after it turned 180 deg. about the axis of rotation of the cylinder, it is moved backward. When this is done, the porcessed component comes to the position to face the supply-receive device, and the raw material comes to the position to face the chuck of the processing device. Consequently, piping complication or a large-size chuck liable to occur in oil-pressure or electromagnetic chuck mechanisms can be avoided. |
