<p>PURPOSE:To secure an effective application of the communication to the medical information system or the like by providing the priority information bit into the packet and thus preventing the increment of the transmission delay time even with mixture of the data featuring a large length. CONSTITUTION:Priority information bit P101 is added to packet 50 of the message. In the medical information network comprising computers 201-203 of hospitals A-C, node control processors NCPa-f and communication circuit 204, the transmission is carried out from processsor (a) to (b). In this case, P of the transmission packet is added to signal ENQ in order to inspect the buffer's idle state of processor (b), and processor (b) checks idle area information bit 304 of priority table PT301 after receiving P. And in case priority 303 of the idle area is equal to or lower than P, signal ACK is sent back to processor (a) for allotment of buffer 302. Receiving signal ACK, processor (a) transmits the packet to processor (b), and (b) sends EOT back to (a) at the end of reception. Thus the communication completes.</p> |
