NEW MATERIAL:Indoleacetic acid derivatives of formula I (R is phenyl, hydroxyphenyl, benzyloxyphenyl, pyridyl). EXAMPLE:3-Pyridyl beta-indoleacetate. USE:Remedy for pancreatic diseases, cpmposition with insulin, preservative for fresh food as meat and fish; they have an activity inhibiting chymotripsin. PREPARATION:For example, an aromatic alcohol of formula III (R1 is phenyl, benzyloxyphenyl, pyridyl) is made to act on beta-indoleacetic acid of formula to form a compound of formula Ia. Further, the compound of formula Ia where R1 is benzyloxyphenyl is debenzylated to give the compound of formula I where R is hydroxyphenyl. |
