PURPOSE:To make it possible to transmit signals by one optical transmission lien by using a optical branching filter, which can synthesize and separate lights different in wave length, to convert multi-polarity electric signals to optical signals. CONSTITUTION:Multi-polarity electric signals applied to terminal 6' have positive polarity signals and negative polarity signals converted to optical signals different in wave length, for example, 0.8 and 0.88mum by light emission diodes 4' and 5'. These optical signals are synthesized by optical branching filter 20 and are transmitted to optical transmission line 16 through optical connector 18. In the receiving side, these optical signals are separated by optical branching filter 20' to control light receiving elements connected to positive and negative power sources respectively. As the result, optical signals are converted to multi-polarity electric signals again. |
