An anti-static multicomponent fibre structure comprises at least one electrically non-conducting, thermoplastic, synthetic polymer and at least one thermosplastic synthetic polymer having an electrically conducting material dispersed therein such that, at a measuring voltage of 1 kilovolt, it has a specific volume resistance (DIN 54 345) of less than 10<13> ohm &cirf& cm, the cross- section of the fibre structure being in the form of a matrix of non-conducting material having at least two distinct segments peripherally disposed therein at least one of which comprises the polymer having the electrically conducting material dispersed therein. One such structure is illustrated in Figure 1 of the accompanying drawings wherein "a" indicates the matrix and "b" indicates the segment. <IMAGE> |
