PURPOSE:To prevent resonance of heat transmitting tubes used in a multiple-tube type heat exchanger, by extending heat transmitting tube supporting members intersecting with the heat transmitting tubes and thereby raising the natural frequency of heat transmitting tubes. CONSTITUTION:In the body 1 of a multiple-tube type heat exchanger, there are provided a plurality of arcuate baffle plates 2 arranged in series with uniform spacing of distance L1 an shaped in a partially cut away, rectangular form. Between these baffle plates 2, there is provided a heat transmitting tube supportng member 3. This supporting member 3 is obtained, for instance, by welding rod members 5 of round rod 4 to frame 7 horizontally with a spacing equal to the distance between adjacent heat transmitting tubes 6, 6', and these rod members 5 are disposed horizontally so as to absorb vibration caused by fluid flowing through the body 1 in a zigzagged manner across heat transmitting tubes 6. Bundle 9 of the tubes 6 is formed by extending tubes 6 across the said baffle plates 2 and supporting members 3 in the manner that they are held in contact with the outer surfaces of heat transmitting tubes 6. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to raise natural frequency of the tubes 6 and to thereby prevent resonance of the apparatus. |
