<p>The record disc pressing appts. comprises two mould halves (1, 2) between which the discs are pressed. The appts. operates automatically and has an arm (3) which first picks up a label from a first stack (4) and places the label, print face down, on the lower mould half (2). A further arm (5) then collects plastic material and places this on the label, following which the label arm (3) places a label from a second stack, face upwards, on the plastics material. The record is then pressed, and then removed by a further arm (7) to a trimming station (9) where flashing around the disc edge is removed. A further arm (10) then transfers the trimmed disc to a stack of finished discs (11). The appts. removes the need for amnual removal of a pressed disc and addition of a plastics material blank.</p> |
