The flow-inversion valve is used in domestic plumbing installations and may interpose separate outfalls (11, 15) to a shower and a bath. The piston (D) locates in a cylindrical transition chamber (27), being connected by an axial rod (21) to a conical lift valve (29). When the shower valve is closed, differential pressure displaces (B) the piston, lifts the valve (29) off its seat (21c), and effectively diverts the flow to the bath outlet (B). A groove located trapezoidal section ring (30) seals the piston to the chamber bore (22) to prevent annular seepage.
|
