PURPOSE:To prevent an accident from expanding when feeding paper to a facsimile transmitter, by positioning the beginning of an original without fail, by starting a scan on detecting the beginning of the original, and then by stopping a paper feed rolle and giving an alarm when paper jamming occurs. CONSTITUTION:Near one end of paper feed guide 3 of a paper feeder used for a facsimile transmitter, 1st paper feed rollers 4 and 5 are arranged to feed out original 12 mounted on original mount 1. At the other end of this guide 3, 2nd paper feed rollers 4 and 5 are provided and in the middle of guide 3, paper detector 8 detecting the existence of original 12 at a fixed position and scan part 10 are provided. Then, rollers 4 and 5 are turned forward until original is detected by detector 8 and stopped on detecting it, and when the leading edge of original 12 stops at a scanning line, control circuit 11 rotates rollers 4 and 5 intermittently; and scan part 10 scans on original 12 and when original 12 jams, the rotations of rollers 4 and 5 are stopped and an alarm is given. |
