摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To detect the fault of a rotary rectifier easily by a method wherein the neutral point potential of output of a Graetz connection rotary rectifier and the neutral point potential of an exciter output winding are led out to the fixed terminals and both potentials are compared. CONSTITUTION:On a brushless synchronous machine which is consisted of a stator 1, a fixed winding 2, a rotary rectifier with Graetz connection 3, an exciter output winding 4, an exciter filed winding 7, etc., the neutral point potential of the exciter output winding 4 is led out through a slip ring 5 and a brush 6 to a fixed terminal. The resistors 8, 9 are connected as potential divider between the output terminals of the rotary rectifier 3, and the D.C. neutral point potential of the rectifier output is led out through a slip ring 10 and a brush 11 to a fixed terminal. The potential of the brush 6 is compared with that of the brush 11. In the stationary operating condition, the frequency of the neutral point potential of the divider 8, 9 is three times as large as that of the exciter output, but if the rotary rectifier 3 is in out of order, its waveform changes to the frequency not three times large. Discriminating this, the fault of the rotary rectifier 3 can easily the detected.</p>
