<p>Diels-Alder reaction products of maleic anhydride which is in a solid state in a room temperature and a dimethyloctatriene are liquefied by heat-treatment in the presence of an isomerization catalyst of compounds selected from the group consisting of a) alkali metal salts, b) amines and quaternary ammonium salts, c) phosphine compounds and quaternary phosphonium salts, d) thiocyanates, and e) solid basic compounds. The liquefied acid anhydrides thus obtained are useful as a curing agent for epoxy resins. </p> |
