A low pressure tire comprises crown and side portions (6, 8) which consist of a carcass ply (4) composed of synthetic fibre monofilaments formed into a reed-screen pattern, and a rubber layer. The tire is suitable for use on a relatively small load in all terrain vehicles to be driven on various uneven grounds such as bad road, tillage and sandy soil. The monofilaments are (1) preferably arranged at an angle of 75 DEG to 90 DEG to the equatorial plane of the tire, (2) preferably nylon monofilaments of 500 to 1000 deniers, and (3) preferably twisted 10 to 40 times per 5 cms of length. <IMAGE> |
