PURPOSE:To increase the controllable anode current by detecting the gate-cathode voltage when gate turn-off thyristor (GTO) is turned off and then setting the waveheight value of the detected voltage to a certain level of voltage or less. CONSTITUTION:With application of the control signal to the base of switching element Tr1, switching elements Tr1 and Tr2 are turned on. And the current having the sufficient gate current increasing rate is supplied to the area between the cathode and the gate of GTO from capacitor C1. Then the anode current of GTO begins to lower, and accordingly the gate-cathode voltage increases. As a result, constant voltage circuit 2 works to keep the gate-cathode voltage at a certain level. |
