The foot rest is intended for a motorcycle. It is provided with an instep support whose surface is upwardly inclined from the inside to the outside of the foot. The support may be releasably secured to the foot rest, e.g. by a slide-on or snap-in connection or may be an integral part of the foot rest. It may, alternatively, be fixed under the instep of the driver's shoe or may be formed as an insole.
