<p>The offset rotary printing press inking mechanism has a driven ink-box roller and an ink blade adjustable in relation to it by screws etc. to regulate the ink quantity. A lifting roller transfers the ink to a first inking-mechanism roller, followed by ink-application rollers which can be lifted clear of the plate cylinder. The application rollers (2,3,4) can be lifted clear of the plate cylinder (1) by actuators (29,31,32), and when the ink-mechanism rollers (5-11) are rotating and the lifting roller (12) is in the working position, the ink-zone adjusting screws (17) are set by a control unit (21) so as to deliver no ink, so that any ink in the inking mechanism is returned to the ink box (14).</p> |
