PURPOSE:To make jetting even by small piezoelectric oscillation securely possible, by performing rotative scanning of the liquid droplet jetting apparatus that comprises a liquid chamber, a pressure chamber, a piezoelectric oscillator and a jet hole thereby supplying a liquid to the pressure chamber and subjecting the liquid under pressure in a direction toward the jet hole. CONSTITUTION:The ink head equipped with the liquid chamber 7, the pressure chamber 3, the peizoelectric oscillator 1 and the jet hole 4 is rotatively scanned in a direction normal to the scanning direction (shown by an arrow) of a length of recording paper 9. The ink in the liquid chamber 7 is supplied through a connecting passage 6 to the pressure chamber 3 by the centrifugal force. The rotational frequency of the ink head is preselected in such a manner that the ink is not forcibly ejected from the jet hole 4. In this manner the ink is at all times under pressure in a direction toward the jet hole 4, and the meniscus of the ink in the jet hole 4 will project slightly and will be in equilibrium with the surface tension. In this state, when a signal is applied to the piezoelectric oscillator 1, the ink can be securely jetted. |
