Heating-cooling roller - uses fluid eddy developed by internal chambers for heat exchange

The chambers lying at right angles to the roller axis, to develop an eddy effect in the temperature control fluid, have roughly a quadrilateral internal cross section. The openings of the fluid channels, to support the eddy development, lie in front of the fluid outlets, in the direction of roller surface rotation. The pressure in the chamber is less than 5 bar, and the total pressure waste in the fluid feed is less than 5 bar. The design gives a roller where the surface can be heated or cooled, in a cheap construction, using a heat exchanger that is not sensitive to pressure changes, and requires little pump capacity.
