PURPOSE:To enable to provide high sensitivity, by supporting the piezoelectric oscillator at the connection between the electrode and leads at the side of oscillator of packing member and forming the recess at other parts. CONSTITUTION:When a voltage is fed between electrodes 3 and 4 via leads 5, 6, the ultrasonic waves produced from the side of the packing member 2 of the piezoelectric oscillator 1 are radiated in the recess part 7. Since the acoustic impedance between the piezoelectric oscillator 1 and the air in the recess is remarkably different, the waves are reflected in the recess 7 and radiated from the surface opposite to the packing member 2 of the piezoelectric oscillator 1. The ultrasonic wave energy produced in the piezoelectric oscillator 1 is not absorbed in the sensitivity as the ultrasonic wave prober is improved. |
