<p>The vibration damped control linkage for the engine of a vehicle has the control shaft split into two sections (2,1) and linked by a metal strip (9) which transmits control forces and is weak in a direction at right angles to the shaft. One end of the damper is pivoted about its fixing bolt (14) to allow some degree of swivel. The metal strip is simple and low cost. It is located in slotted ends of the control shafts and secured by transverse pins (14,15). One pin is a loose fit to allow the swivel action.</p> |
