The magnetic tape cassette holder is designed to permit ease of stacking in a secure assembly. In one system an open sided rectangular housing has two projections for locating in the spools of the cassette. The side wall of the housing has a recess with undercut walls. A mating projection on a common mounting plate snaps into the cassette holder recess, thus allowing a number to be stacked. An alternative version has a closed cassette housing with a recess on the back surface that mates with an interlocking projection on the front surface of an adjacent holder.
