PURPOSE:To reduce the radiation level of scattered waves and to improve the wide angle radiating characteristics, by fitting a construction which is a special flat plate the thickness of which is smaller than the wavelength, to a part or all of the surfaces of a support. CONSTITUTION:Construction 11 is a flat plate, the thickness of which is smaller than the wavelength, one end of the flat plate is connected along the longitudinal direction of a support 4 and another end consists of irregular side longer than the wavelength. It is fitted to the side surface of the plane in parallel with a plane including the longitudinal direction of the support 4 and the progressive direction of plane waves 5. With this constitution, the plane waves 5 incident to the support 4 are scattered as reflecting waves 10 reflected on the surface of the support 4 and scattered waves consisting of diffracted waves by edges 7 of the construction 11. Since the edges 7 consist of irregular unevennes, the diffracted waves by the edges 7 are scattered to a wide region and further, since the phases are different from each other, the radiating level of scattered waves consisting of the synthesis of the reflecting waves 10 and the diffracted waves, can be reduced. |
