<p>Strip curved in at least one plane is intended esp. for decorating the interior of automobiles, for example for trimming the dashboard or top of a door. The strip comprises a visible outer layer of natural veneer, backed by a support layer at least 2 (pref. 3) mm thick of plastics, more specifically polycarbonate. The strip may be curved in two mutually perpendicular planes, with a curvature in the direction of the grain not exceeding 1.0-1.5 cm in radius and perpendicular to the grain not exceeding 0.5-1.0 cm in radius. The preferred prodn. method consists of placing the natural veneer strip in an injection mould, then injecting with plastics at high pressure, followed by cooling.
