<p>A device for marking carcasses in abattoirs, e.g. in halves of pigs carcasses, with pairs of consecutive figures, consists of a pendulum arm, parallel to the suspended carcasses on the monorail system. The bottom end of the arm carries four stamp discs with the figures 0-9 with a ball-type detent in the centre and a ratchet wheel, actuated by a power cylinder. Another power cylinder actuates a lever with a stamping die cushion to be applied to the stamps in the swung-away position. This saves the manual labour of writing the numbers on the carcasses; it eliminates human errors and makes the markings inerasable.</p> |
