发明名称 MICROBIAL LEACHING OF URANIUM FROM URANIUM ORE
摘要 PURPOSE:To recover uranium, easily, economically, and safely, even from a low- grade uranium ore, by using, as the leaching medium, a cultivation liquid obtained by culturing bacteria belonging to Thiobacillus genus or Ferrobacillus genus in a medium containing sulfur element or a compound of sulfur or iron. CONSTITUTION:Bacteria belonging to Thiobacillus genus or Ferrobacillus genus, e.g. Thiobacillus concretivorous (FERM-P No.531) or Ferrobacillus ferrooxidans (FERM-P No.532) are cultured in a medium obtained by adding sulfur element or a compound of sulfur or iron, e.g. ferrous sulfate as an energy source to the conventional inorganic medium. The cultured liquid thus obtained is introduced either to a uranium-containing oxidized ore or to a uranium-containing nonoxidized ore, and made to contact alternately with the uranium-containing oxidized ore and the uranium-containing nonoxidized ore.
