PURPOSE:To facilitate the data analysis by writing the mass number and the composition formula corresponding to the mass spectrum peak in a bar graph of mass spectrum in which the mass unit and the relative intensity are shown by axis of abscissa and axis of ordinate,respectively. CONSTITUTION:The m/z ratio (mass to charge ratio) of ion trapped by a mass analyzer 1 is approximated by a function of time from the moment of commencement of sweep, so that the integer mass of the m/z ratio is obtained. In order to achieve 10<3>-10<4> increase of precision, precise mass number is obtained using internal standard method. The precise mass number thus obtained is delivered to a ceintral processing unit 4 which delivers chemically possible composition formula as the output. The integer mass is obtained by rounding the precise mass number at one decimal. After discriminating the internal standard substance and the specimen from each other, bar graph output is delivered to a CRT 5 and a printer 6 so as to write mass number and the composition formula in the vicinity of the peak of bar graph. |
