<p>PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption by putting a braking mechanism in operation by feeding electric power to a solenoid plunger only in a set short time on detecting a changeover from a tape running to a stopping state. CONSTITUTION:A driving circuit 16 is provided which feeds electric power to a solenoid plunger 15 for a braking mechanism 11 only for a preset relatively-short constant time in response to the detection operation of a changeover detecting menas of detecting a changeover from a tape running state, such as normal feeding, fast forwarding and rewinding, to a tape stopping state. When a tape run is stopped, the braking mechanism 11 is put in operation for the constant time right after the stop of the tape run. For example, the brake driving circuit 16 consists of a delay circuit 22, a charing and discharging circuit 23, etc.</p> |
