An electric lighting installation in which is provided at least one central control panel for each light point group, an auxiliary switch which is connected in a parallel circuit with the corresponding local switch, and for each light point or light point group, a corresponding indicator, such as an indicator lamp. The lighting installation can be combined with an efficient alarm system.
