PURPOSE:To prevent leakage of oscillation, to increase Q and to improve impact resistance, by forming a projected part and a recess with a specified width at the upper and lower parts of the base of a quartz oscillator with the specified base length and width, and supporting the oscillator with a folded suspension wire with a specificated size. CONSTITUTION:Taking the base length of a coupling tuning fork type quartx oscillator 22 as LB and the base width as WB, the projected part having the width B at the projected part and a recess WC in width are formed at the upper part of the base, and the height of the recess is taken as LC and the thickness as T. Equation I satisfies the relation of the values, and the base of the oscillator 22 is supported to a plug 24 with a suspension wire 23. Taking the length of the wire 23 as (l) and widths as W1, W2 and also the thickness as (t), equation II is satisfied. The leakage of oscillation is almost avoided, the Q is increased and the strength against impact due to dropping can be increased. |
