<p>PURPOSE:To provided a cassette for storing usual light paper lacking firmness, which can feed both usual paper and thick paper by detachably mounting a thick paper storing cassette having an automatic paper feeding mechanism only used for thick paper built-in on a paper feeding portion where the cassette is detachably mounted. CONSTITUTION:A paper feeding cassette 21 for thick paper is detachably mounted on a paper feeding portion of a main body of copier, which is provided with a paper feed roller 19 and transporting means 20, the upper portion of a projection projected from the paper feeding portion being provided with a storing portion 23 for storing a large number of thick paper 22. The storing portion 23 has a paper feeding opening 25 permitting only the lowermost paper 22a to pass therethrough, which is formed at a gate portion 24 of the end portion thereof, and an opening 27 for feeding paper at the bottom 26 thereof. A paper feed roller 28 is disposed in opposition to the opening 27, which is rotated by rotation of a motor 31 through a pulley 32, a belt 34, a pulley 33, a gear clutch, and the like. The paper 22a pulled out by the paper feed roller 28 is drawn out to an outlet portion 46, passing through transport rollers 39, 40 and guide plates 44, 45.</p> |
