PURPOSE:To obtain a cover body short of wrinkles and prominences without skill by a method wherein a cover body part is inserted into a mold having an air outlet, leather sheet material is brought into contact with said body part under a softening state and with a special constitution and then absorbed and combined in a unitary body. CONSTITUTION:Adhesives are coated on the upper surface, the outer sides of the cover body part 1 and inserted into the mold 2 set on the table 3 of a vacuum molding machine. On one hand, a leather sheet B of vinyl chloride is supported by a clamp frame 4 and heated by a heater 5 to soften the sheet material B. Before the sheet material B is hardened, the table 3 is lifted by a push-up rod 6, the sheet material B is pushed up and stretched, air is exhausted through the air hole 7 and the sheet material B is absorbed on the body part 1 and combined in a unitary body. |
