PURPOSE:To reduce the access time, by suitably combining a high-speed access jumping a plurality of tracks with a low-speed access jumping for every one track. CONSTITUTION:A control signal generating section 8 outputs a high-speed jump controlling signal PH jumping a plurality of tracks, a low-speed jump controlling signal PL jumping at every one track, and positive and negative signals indicating the direction of track. According to the number of tracks desired for jump, the number of productions of control signals PH, PL is combined to output the signal and applied to a rotating control section 9 together with a signal indicating the direction of track. Next, the section 9 controls the rotation of a galvano-mirror 4 defelcting light from a laser light source 3. Thus, in comparison with conventional methods jumped at every one track, the access time can be remarkably reduced. |
