PURPOSE:To detect a miss fire above a fixed miss fire level from a low load to high load operation dispension with a zero compensation by comparing a partial voltage of the output of one thermocouple with the output of the other thermocouple. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of thermocouples which are installed to detect the temperature of exhaust separately from each cylinder are arranged in sets two per each and the output of the first thermocouple 1 and a partial voltage of the output of the second thermocouple 2 are inputted into a comparator C1. Then, the output of the thermocouple 2 and a partial voltage of the output of the thermocouple 1 are inputted into a comparator C2. The comparator C1 produces an output of a high level when the output V1 of the thermocouple 1 meets the requirement of V1X R2/(R1+R2)>=V2 while the comparator C2 produces an output of a high level when the output V2 of the thermocouple meets the requirement of V2XR4/(R3+R4)>=V1. Receiving the outputs of the comparators C1 and C2, an NOR circuit 3 produces an output to flash an indication lamp 4, when either of the outputs is at a high level. |
