The terminal forms part of a strip comprising several identical terminals. The cavity has a region (20a,20) extending forwards to the solder tag (17) or solder point to the rear wall (11) such that the distance between the walls delineating the cavity at the front is greater than the depth of the contact body at the height of its horizontal guide slots. The front limit is designed as an end stop (22) for the rearwards/forwards position of the clamping body or its clamping plate and the solder tag. Advantageously, the solder tags are readily accessible despite the relatively small size of the terminals and then proximity to adjacent units.
