The process consists in reacting trisdimethylaminophosphine with an alcohol having the formula H(OC2H4)n OH in the presence of carbon tetrachloride in order to form the oxyphosphonium monosalt chloride having the formula H (OC2H4)n OP+(NMe2)3, Cl- in a medium where glycol is soluble and where the monosalt precipitates and is at a temperature which is sufficiently low so that the monosalt chloride is stable; in substituting another anion for the chloride anion in order to obtain a monosalt which is stable at a temperature above 0oC; in effecting a nucleophilic substitution on the polyoxyethyleneglycol oxyphosphonium salt so formed by an alcoholate having the formula R¿Z?CH2OM. Application to non-ionic surface active agents.
|
