PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic receptor good in dispersibility of a photoconductor and superior in image quality, by forming a photoconductive layer consisting of an inorganic photoconductor and a specified binder on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A binder in 5-100pts.wt. obtained by mixing 100pts.wt. inorganic photoconductive compound, such as ZnO or CdS with a mixture of a ketone resin and vinyl acetate resin in 5:1-1:5 ratio, and they are dispersed in presence of a dispersion medium with a roll mill or the like to give a coating liquid to form a photo-conductive layer. It is coated on a substrate in 5-100mum thickness, dried to form a photoconductive layer, and forms a 5-70mum thick insulating layer on the said layer. This process provides a photoreceptor superior in adhesion with the substrate, electrical characteristics, mechanical strength, coating performance, surface smoothness, durability, weather resistance, and solvent resistance. |
