PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic receptor having high sensitivity and superior durability, by adding a pigment made of an intermolecular compound of a bisazo pigment or a trisazo pigment and an electron receptor to a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:An intermolecular compound of a bisazo or trisazo pigment and an electron acceptor, such as o-chloranil or tetracyanoethylene, represented by the formulae I, II, A being a coupler residue, is coated as a binder for polyvinylbutyral, etc. on a conductive substrate to form a charge generating layer, and on this layer a charge transfer layer is formed, thus permitting the obtained electrophotographic receptor to have high sensitivity and long serviceable life. |
