The suspension is intended for the non-steerable wheels of a motor vehicle. It consists of a main arm (3) which carries the wheel bearing (2). This arm is supported by two struts (4,5) which are attached to the wheel bearing by pivots (9,10) and to the vehicle structure by further pivots (7,8). The equivalent line of thrust (13) of the struts intersects the central plane (14) of the wheel (1) at a point of intersection of the longitudinal load (L) and the side load (S). The upper end (6) of the arm is supported on springs (C1,C2) of different rates, which are mounted at right angles to each other.
