<p>The invention relates to a device for aligning a door case within a masonry-work reveal, having a frame which is to be set up on the inner side of the door case and having an aligning tool (13) which is to be introduced into a gap (12) between the outer side of the door case and the reveal, is supported on the reveal, on the one hand, and on the door case, on the other hand, and thereby braces the door case with respect to the frame. The invention provides at least one tool (13) which is mounted on the frame and is formed by a bracket, engaging around the door case on mounting, with an alignment leg (14) which is assigned to the gap (12), engages therein on mounting, can be axially displaced, can be rotated about its longitudinal axis and can be fixed in the respective axial and rotational position. The alignment leg (14) bears, in a stationary manner, a shaped piece (17) which is designed as a bracing element and has a non-rotationally symmetrical cross-section.
