The power generation or multiplication plant consists of a pump fitted partly below the surface of a liquid. It has a drive for a turbine such as a Pelton wheel. The Pelton wheel is linked to the output of the pump via a pipe. The turbine drives an energy converter such as a generator. The turbine is fitted with a return flow pipe. The whole pump or only its intake pipes are located inside the liquid. The output of the pump (3) is connected to a pressure pipe (6), whose end terminates in a nozzle (7) discharging on to the blades of the turbine (8).
