<p>The equipment synchronises hydraulic rams in an open circuit, there being two or more double-acting rams connected in series and having the same bore, piston diameter and stroke. A movement-reversing ram (F) is connected between the two hydraulic rams (H1,H2), the piston side (VH'1) of the first of the latter being connected to that (VF') of the reversing ram, while the other side (VH2) of the second ram is connected to the other side (VF) of the reversing ram. The swept volume of the reversing ram is at least equal to that of one of the main rams to be synchronised (H1,H2) and the working surface area of one main ram piston is determined by a formula based on the piston diameters of the main and reversing rams, their connecting rod diameters, and a constant.</p> |
