<p>The present invention provides a highly efficient ceramic roam material for use in filtering molten metal, especially molten aluminum. The ceramic roam material of the present invention is characterized by having an open cell structure with a plurality of interconnected voids surrounded by a web of said ceramic material. The filter of the present invention is further characterized by a combination of critical properties, as air permeability, porosity or void fraction and thickness.</p> |
