PURPOSE:To correctly collect data each unit distance, by a counter which generates an interrupting signal to a computer every time when a preset quantity is counted and collecting data relating an object based on this interrupting signal. CONSTITUTION:In collecting a temperature data of each section of a long sized steel billet in a continuous heating furnace of the steel billet at each unit length, steel billets. A and B are heated by gas burners G1-G3 at sectionsI, II and III. For example, when a steel billet is carried at the sectionI, the front edge is detected with a photoswitch PS1 and a counter C1 is reset. This counter C1 counts a pulse output from a pulse generator PG1 and produces a coefficient corresponding to a preset unit length by a computer CPU, and the count completion signal is given to the computer CPU. When the computer CPU closes a switch S1 of a scanner, the temperature informtion of the billet is detected with a pyrometer T1 and a digital signal obtained at an A-D converter A/D. |
