PURPOSE:To improve the read accuracy, by deciding a font at every character- string from a result of recognition by an individual recognition dictionary of each font, and making this result of recognition by the individual recognition dictionary of the font, of a read result. CONSTITUTION:In case of recognizing a character-string 2a on a business form 1a, a recognizing part 5 recognizes it at first by use of an individual recognition dictionary of a font A stored in a recognition dictionary 6, and sends its recognized result to a control part 7. In the same way, said recognition is executed by use of an individual recognition dictionary of a font B, and its result is sent to the control part 7. For instance, if said result of recognition is ''OCR017'' in case of the former and ''OCR??'' in case of the latter, the control part 7 counts the number of its rejected characters as to both the results of rcognition, and decides the former (a result of recognition by a recognition dictionary of the font A) as a result of read of the character-string 2a on the business form 1a, because the former has fewer number of rejected characters than that of the latter. |
