PURPOSE:To prevent the erroneous distribution of an original, by comparing a peculiar response code returned from a called terminal with an identification code peculiar to a destination terminal to transmit the picture signal after confirming that the called terminal is the destination terminal certainly. CONSTITUTION:In the facsimile communication system having plural terminals 2-1-2-m and a broadcasting device 3, when the broadcasting device 3 transmits a response reuquest signal J1 to the called terminal 2-1, the called terminal 2-1 returns a response code K1 to the broadcasting device 3. meanwhile, identification codes ll-lm peculiar to respective terminals 2-1-2-m are stored in a storage part 13, and a comparing part 12 extracts the identification code l1 corresponding to the destination terminal 2-1 and compares this code with the response code K1 from the called terminal 2-1, and the transmission of a picture signal (i) is executed after confirming that the called terminal 2-1 is the destination terminal 2-1 certainly. Consequently, the picture signal which should be transmitted to the destination terminal 2-1 is prevented from being transmitted to another terminal erroneously. |
