STORAGE DEVICE OF COMPRESSED DATA

摘要

PURPOSE:To give a direct access to the data under transfer for each line while storing a compression data and to store a large quantity of data efficiently by encoding the data obtained before compression according to an address and storing the encoded compressed data to then convert it into the original data. CONSTITUTION:The commands given successively from a computer 1 are received at a control circuit 2, and an address circuit 3 is controlled to obtain a storage starting address through the circuit 3. At the same time, an encoding circuit 4 is controlled every time when the circuit 2 recieves the data transfer end signal from the computer 1 with every line. The data obtained before the compression carried out through the circuit 4 is encoded and then converted into a compressed data by the address given from the circuit 3. This compressed data is stored in a memory circuit 5 under the control of the circuit 2 and then read out to a decoding circuit 6 under the control of the circuit 2 to be converted into the original data. Then a direct access is given to the data under transfer for each line while storing the compressed data.
