PURPOSE:To attain an accurate detection of the mean picture concentration for a recorder of half tone picture, by detecting the picture concentration with a detecting means set opposite to an object to be recorded. CONSTITUTION:The detecting means 85 and 87 incorporating an aperture APT having the opening area according to the area occupied by the unit picture element on an object to be recorded are set opposite to the object to be recorded to detect the picture concentration. Thus a test concentration pattern which is recorded directly from a device that records the pattern on the recording paper by means of a recording agent to be actually used for the recording is set in the minimum area on the recording paper. Furthermore, the concentration is read in an assured way. |
