PURPOSE:To obtain a general-purposed, high-precise, and easy method for detecting a crane, by a method wherein a reflecting mirror, whereon a large number of streaks of parallel recesses is formed, is mounted at a ground side, and a projection scanning device and a reflecting light detector are installed to a crane. CONSTITUTION:A projector T and a collector R are located in a given position on a trolley 12 of a crane 1. Photo beam from the projector T rectilinearly scans a given area, the collector R detects reflecting light from a reflection marker P, consisting of a reflecting mirror wherein a large number of streaks of parallel recesses is formed, a scanning angle detecting means finds a scanning angle theta at a point of time when reflecting light from a binary-coded value signal is discriminated and detected by means of the given threshold, and a computing unit computes and processes to find the position of the crane 1. Since device, being simply constituted in combination of a projecting light scanning device and a reflecting marker, is employed, this enables to perform a general-purposed, high-precise, and easy detection of the position of the crane. |
